Jay has been building comprehensive financial plans for clients for the past several years. He works directly with clients to answer their most pressing financial questions and build a plan for them that addresses all aspects of their financial lives, including retirement planning, insurance, investment management, education planning, business succession planning, tax and estate planning, corporate stock option planning, and charitable gift planning.
Jay began his career as a financial planner at an Atlanta-based planning firm, serving over a dozen advisors across the country. He worked with the clients of each advisor to solve financial issues in their clients’ lives.
Jay received his Bachelor of Arts in Financial Planning from the University of Georgia in 2015. He holds his Certified Financial Planner ™ designation, and is currently pursuing additional niche designations to better serve the Gratus client base.
Jay regularly participates in Fulton County’s Special Olympics program alongside his wife, who is involved with groups focused on neighborhood revitalization efforts on Atlanta’s historic Westside.
Outside of the Office
Jay lives in West Atlanta with his wife Elizabeth and their Goldendoodle, “Bella.” He is an active member of Atlanta Westside Presbyterian, and is a member of the worship team there. Jay enjoys playing music, hiking with Elizabeth and Bella, and spending time catching up with friends.
