At Gratus Capital, we are advocates for our clients, advocates for each other, and advocates for our community.
Investments in our community yield the greatest return, and that’s why we’re committed to being a long-term partner to the communities in which we live and work.
Each year, we honor that commitment as a team by partnering with various community groups for quarterly volunteer events at local non-profit organizations.
When Gratus Capital founder and CEO Hank McLarty set out to build the firm's future, he leaned on a set of values that would serve as the foundational pillars for his vision. These core standards steadfastly support the Gratus identity and purpose, as unremitting anchors that transcend past, present, and future.
I think all of us want to look back on our lives and say we made a difference, something outside of our immediate self...that we changed the life of somebody else.
As the Gratus team leader, Hank McLarty works every day to embody and embrace these core values, perhaps none more passioniately than to Always Advocate.
His decades-long commitment to Make-A-Wish Georgia was recognized at the organization’s Wish Ball 2019, where, during his honoree speech, Hank invoked his passion for having an impact and making a difference.
AFSP is the nation's largest non-profit dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. In support of a fellow team member, the Gratus team and our families joined thousands of people at Piedmont Park to participate in the Atlanta Out of the Darkness Walk, an annual event to raise awareness and funds for AFSP.
Action Ministries mobilizes communities to address the challenges of poverty by focusing on hunger relief, housing, and education. In September 2019, the Gratus team visited the Action Ministries warehouse to pack food boxes that were later delivered to schools, churches, and communiy centers across Georgia.
Blue Heron Nature Preserve is a non-profit dedicated to protecting 30 acres of native habitat in the heart of Buckhead, Atlanta. In May 2019, we visited the nature preserve to try our hands (or, green thumbs) at habitat restoration.
Helping Mamas is a baby supply bank with a mission to connect helping mamas with mamas needing help. In March 2019, the Gratus team visited their Norcross warehouse to lend a helping hand.
