29 Mar Warehouse Warriors At Helping Mamas
On Friday, March 22nd, the Gratus team took a trip to Helping Mamas in Norcross, Georgia, for their first volunteer event of 2019. Founded in 2014, Helping Mamas serves as a maternity and baby supply resource for pregnant women and children facing poverty. The team at Helping Mamas works with social workers and other nonprofits to source and provide baby products such as diapers, formula, clothes and other necessities at no cost to the mothers. Helping Mamas supports the Atlanta metro area as well as surrounding counties throughout north Georgia.
Our Day of Service
As part of our day of service, a few team members created baby care packages including toiletries such as baby wipes, diapers, and baby wash to be donated to nearby homes. Other members of the team worked in the warehouse to separate donated inventory and also created seasonal bundles of clothing that can be distributed easily to warehouse visitors. At the end of our volunteer event, the team created 20 baby outfit bundles of clothing and also made a donation of 1,000 diapers and wipes to the Helping Mamas warehouse.
